I'm a classic nerd. I love math, philosophy, science, tech, engineering, you name it. I'm constantly trying to learn new things and coming up with new ideas for stuff to build. Lately I've been able to leverage AI to build a larger fraction of my passion projects (some are included in this website!). I'm also getting significantly more interested in AI safety as these models become more capable.

Recent Work Experience

Gmail Intelligence

Proofread

Led the evaluation effort for Gmail Proofread. Built eval infrastructure, ran human evals & built autoraters. Proofread currently has millions of daily active users.

Contextual Smart Reply

Built the original backend pipeline for Contextual Smart Reply. Built the autorater evaluation infrastructure, later extended for the personalized CSR launch. Sundar demoed it at the I/O '25 keynote and discussed it on Lex Fridman's podcast (referred to as “Personalized Smart Replies” in the keynote). Now launched to billions of consumer users in Gmail.
